Fee
We negotiate fees for the provision of legal services with our clients on a contractual basis. The amount of the fee depends on the type of legal case and the professional and time requirements. It is the policy of our law firm that each client will be advised of the amount of the fee in his or her case before our services are rendered and billed. The legal service agreement is only concluded when the client agrees to the provision of services at a given price.
Contract fee based on time
The client pays the agreed fee to the lawyer according to the number of hours of the legal services provided. Our usual hourly rate is CZK 3,500-5,900/hour.
Contract fee based on individual legal acts
The fee based on individual legal acts is determined by the number of acts of legal service performed by the lawyer in a particular case. The amount of the fee for one legal act is determined by agreement.
Flat-rate contract fee
Flat-rate fee means an agreed fixed amount for the provision of legal services. We set the fee for a recurring period of time, usually a flat-rate monthly amount. This form of fee is suitable for clients with a regular need for legal services. This type of contract fee is very common, but of course we also provide one-time legal services to our clients.
Share-based contract fee
The fee is a share of the subject-matter of the case or the result of the proceedings.
Miscellaneous
We bill a surcharge of 50-100% for providing legal services on an express basis (express is considered less than 72 hours) or outside of normal hours (meaning 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday). All prices are exclusive of VAT.
In addition to the right to a fee, the lawyer is also entitled to compensation for out-of-pocket expenses reasonably incurred in connection with the provision of legal services (court and other fees, travel expenses, postage, courier services, e-mail and telephone communication, expert reports, translation services, etc.) and compensation for time lost.
